Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how AOK Partners, LLC (“AOK Partners,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Pete (also referred to as “AskPete”), our private portfolio- and transaction-management application available at app.askpete.ai (the “Service”). Pete is an invitation-only business tool used by AOK Partners and authorized users to manage entities, investments, documents, and related operations. It is not a consumer product and is not directed to the general public.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Name, email address, and authentication credentials used to create and secure your account, including multi-factor authentication data.
- Information you provide. Data you enter into the Service, such as entity details, ownership records, financial figures, valuations, bank-account metadata, contacts, notes, and uploaded documents.
- Google account data (optional integration). If you choose to connect Google Drive, we access the limited Google user data described in Section 3 below.
- Usage and technical data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages accessed, and timestamps, used to operate, secure, and audit the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information solely to provide and operate the Service, including to:
- authenticate users and secure accounts;
- store, organize, and display the data you and your organization enter;
- import documents you explicitly select from connected sources such as Google Drive;
- maintain audit logs and enforce access controls and permissions;
- provide support, diagnose problems, and improve reliability and security; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Google User Data and Limited Use
Connecting Google Drive is optional and is only initiated by you. When you connect Drive, you grant Pete read-only access used exclusively to let you browse and import documents you personally select into the Service. We request the minimum scopes necessary for this feature:
- Google Drive (read-only) — to display a file picker and download the specific files you choose to import.
- Basic profile / email — to identify the connected Google account and confirm the connection.
We only retrieve files you explicitly select through the Google file picker. We do not scan, index, or bulk-download your Drive. Imported files are stored within your organization’s Service workspace so they appear alongside your other documents. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from within the Service or from your Google Account settings, which revokes our access.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Service providers (subprocessors) who host and power the Service under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, including Supabase (database, storage, and authentication), Vercel (application hosting), Google (Drive integration, only when you connect it), and Anthropic (AI features you invoke).
- Within your organization, according to the roles and permissions configured by your administrators.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AOK Partners, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You or your administrator may request deletion of your data as described below.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions, audit logging, and encryption of sensitive stored credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Revoke Google access. Disconnect Google Drive in the Service, or visit your Google Account permissions to revoke Pete’s access. Revoking access stops further data access; previously imported files remain in the Service unless you delete them.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
